Kenneth Garrett Fischer, DPT

I’m the founder of Selkirk Physical Therapy & Performance. With over 8 years of experience serving the Sandpoint community, I specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, and vestibular rehabilitation. My passion is helping active people of all ages heal from injuries, recover from surgery, and optimize their performance so they can get back to the activities they love.

My Approach I believe that effective physical therapy combines advanced clinical techniques with a compassionate, patient‑centered philosophy. Every treatment plan I create is tailored to your unique goals and lifestyle, blending manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education to empower you with long‑term solutions.

Outside the Clinic When I’m not working with patients, you’ll find me fishing on Lake Pend Oreille, Snowboarding at Schweitzer, or exploring Sandpoint’s great outdoors. I’m also an avid learner—constantly seeking new research and techniques to bring the best possible care to my patients.

Rebecca Thomas, PTA

I’ve been a licensed physical therapist assistant for six years, graduating from North Idaho College and proudly choosing to stay and practice right here in the Inland Northwest. I specialize in orthopedic rehabilitation, pelvic floor therapy, and manual/myofascial treatments.  My ultimate goal is to help you move completely free of limitations, rebuilding your strength and confidence so you can live life to the fullest.  

My Approach: I believe that educating, supporting, and encouraging people throughout their recovery journey is a key part of successful physical therapy. By focusing on compassionate care and patient empowerment, I work closely with our team to implement tailored treatment plans that restore function, relieve pain, and help you achieve your long-term wellness goals.
